SkillStorm Contributes to Haiti Disaster Relief

As you all know, on January 12th, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. This devastating event has left thousands dead, injured and missing. Over 3 million have been affected by this catastrophic event on this poor island nation.

SkillStorm is now joining recovery efforts to assist earthquake victims in Haiti by facilitating donations. Your donation will help disaster victims rebuild their lives and their communities. We are suggesting several options for your donations:

Text “Haiti” to 90999. It will automatically donate $10.00 to the American Red Cross and add the charge to your cell phone bill. You can text this number up to 6 times.

Option #2 – Direct to American Red Cross: 
Go to www.redcross.org and make a donation online.

SkillStorm Announces New All Expenses Paid Sales Training

Are you up to SPEED? SkillStorm has launched a new training program— the SkillStorm Program for Extreme Employee Development, also known as SPEED.  SPEED is a highly competitive, intense sales training program where top candidates shine as they compete for a Technical Recruiter role in one of our fourteen branches nationwide.  The six-week course targets college graduates around the country, from schools such as the University of Florida, Indiana University, University of Virginia, Georgetown University, Florida State University, the University of North Carolina, Southern Methodist University, the University of Southern California, San Diego State University and the University of Arizona among others.  The best candidates are selected for an all expenses paid trip for the training course and are given the opportunity to experience a competitive learning environment where the best of the class will be offered lucrative, full-time positions. 

The first official SPEED class is scheduled to take place in Spring 2010 at the SkillStorm corporate headquarters in San Diego, California. The program is currently being advertised in a variety of ways including a dedicated Facebook page and Facebook ad; marketing materials such as slicks and fun, intriguing giveaways; postings at online job posting boards of schools across the United States; and email blasts through a partnership with Career Athletes, the leading provider of dedicated career development services and software within collegiate athletics.
