SKILLSTORM
LAUNCHES NEWEST INSTALLMENT OF COLLEGE GRADUATE SALES TRAINING PROGRAM
Recent college graduates prepare to
enter the job market through SPEED, a six-week all-expenses paid sales training
program hosted by SkillStorm, a national technical consulting and outsourcing
firm
San Diego, California
(August 19, 2010) – SkillStorm today
announced the fall launch of the company’s sales
training program
— the SkillStorm Program for Extreme Educational Development, also known as
SPEED. After two successful training
classes held earlier this year, SPEED returns for a new session beginning on
August 16th in San Diego, California. SPEED is a highly competitive training
program where ten candidates compete for Technical Recruiter positions with
SkillStorm. Trainees that successfully
complete the intense training program are offered full-time positions in one of
five SkillStorm offices nationwide.
The
timing of this SPEED class presents a perfect employment opportunity for summer
college graduates entering an aggressive job market. Trainees experience a competitive learning
environment that combines lecture-style sessions with rigorous, hands-on field
experience in recruiter and sales training.
The trainees enjoy a salary, full accommodations and opportunities to
win several prizes, including cash bonuses, throughout the duration of the
six-week course.
“The
past two SPEED training classes have been such a great success for both
SkillStorm and the graduates of the program, who have excelled as Technical
Recruiters. We see this training program
as an investment in the future of our company – by bringing in the best of the
best, we put SkillStorm on the right track towards continued success. This program allows us to hire competitive,
sales-minded individuals with an extreme drive to succeed and that’s exactly
what we look for in a SkillStorm recruiter,” said Vince Virga, CEO of
SkillStorm.
Hailing
from schools including Kansas State University, Flagler College, San Diego
State University, Alabama A&M University and Clemson University, this
semester’s SPEED participants will be given several fun and interactive
opportunities to connect with an online audience who can follow their progress
throughout the course of the program; for example, trainees record their
thoughts and experiences during the course via video testimonials posted on the
SPEED YouTube Channel. Participants
also share day-to-day updates about their progress on the SPEED
blog.
“One
of the things that really intrigued me about SPEED was the fact that SkillStorm
covered all of our expenses — the flight to San Diego, hotel, all of our meals,
everything. As a recent college
graduate, supporting myself during the training course would’ve been very
difficult. SkillStorm really stood out
from other options because of this,” said SPEED summer graduate, Nikki Reusch,
now a full-time Technical Recruiter with SkillStorm.
The
spring SPEED training class is scheduled to begin on February 21, 2011 in San
Diego, California and is open to applicants now. Interested applicants should complete the free
SPEED Personality Assessment
(http://www.SkillStorm.com/SPEED) to be considered for the program.
